STILLWATER – Don’t let the December signing period fool you, Oklahoma State is still very much active in the transfer portal. The latest offer from the Pokes’ coaching staff is to former Bowling Green receiver, Tyrone Broden.

Broden checks in at 6-7, 210-pounds and is originally out of Detroit, Michigan. According to Bowling Green’s website, 6-7 makes Broden one of the four tallest receivers in college football.

He entered the portal on Jan. 1 with two years of eligibility and currently holds several transfer offers, including Arkansas, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Washington State and West Virginia.

This past season as a redshirt junior, Broden appeared in all 13 games, starting in seven, and hauled in 32 catches for 506 yards and seven touchdowns.

In his four years with Bowling Green, Broden played in 32 games and recorded 74 receptions for 1,199 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Oklahoma State currently has one portal addition wide receiver in former Washington State WR, De’Zhaun Stribling, who signed with the Pokes back in December and was in Arizona with the team for the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. They signed just one high school receiver in the 2023 class in Camron Heard, an athlete out of Furr HS in Houston, TX.

WTH?

Does that offer make any sense to any of you? Nothing against the kid, but that hardly seems like a position that we need more help with
