Kendal Daniels Tabbed FWAA Freshman All-American
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State redshirt freshman safety Kendal Daniels was tabbed an FWAA Freshman All-American on Thursday.
This comes a month after Daniels was named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, a second team All-Big 12 selection, a College Football News Freshman All-American and first team Academic All-Big 12.
This marks the second-straight season an OSU freshman has been named to the FWAA Freshman All-America team, as he joins defensive end Collin Oliver from last season, who was also named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.
Daniels played in all 13 games this past season for the Cowboys, starting in five of them, and recorded some very impressive numbers. He finished the season with 71 total tackles, 45 of which were solo stops, 6.5 tackles for, five pass breakups, three interceptions and one forced fumble.
He finished fourth among all FBS freshman with his three interceptions and fifth with 5.5 tackles per game.
