Oklahoma State Top Signee Brandon Garrison Selected as McDonald's Game Nominee
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and head coach Mike Boynton have put together a top 10 recruiting class and the head of the class is four-star Del City, Okla. post player Brandon Garrison. Garrison is ranked No. 36 in the ESPN Top 100 and averages close to 18 points a game with double digit rebounds. The Eagles are in a tournament and beat Claremore 73-43 in a tournament game on Thursday (Jan. 12). Earlier in the week they pounded El Reno 69-26 in a district game. Now the news comes that Garrison is one of six Oklahoma players, boys or girls, to be nominated for the prestigious McDonald’s All-America Game.
Players were nominated by a high school coach, athletic director, principal or member of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee based upon these criteria. The local players nominated for the chance to play in the 2023 McDonald’s All American Games are (in alphabetical order and girls first) Landry Allen, Tuttle High School, Tuttle, OK, Jordan Hoffman, Weatherford High School, Weatherford, OK, Elle Papahronis, Edmond North High School, Edmond, OK, Laci Steele, Edmond North High School, Edmond, OK, (boys) Jordyn Brown, Ardmore High School, Ardmore, OK. and Brandon Garrison, Del City High School, Del City, OK.
The top 24 girls and 24 boys will be revealed Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, on NBA Today between 3-4 p.m. ET on ESPN and announced across ESPN’s various social and digital platforms.
The 2023 McDonald’s All American Girls Game will air on Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the Boys Game will immediately follow on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
