Former Oklahoma State Receiver Bryson Green Transfers to Wisconsin

STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State wide receiver Bryson Green officially announced his new college destination.

Green took to Twitter Friday afternoon to announce he’s transferring to Wisconsin.

This comes less than a month after the Cowboys’ 24-17 loss to the Badgers in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl back on December 27.

Green, who checks in at 6-1, 205-pounds, chose the Badgers over Auburn, Oklahoma and Ole Miss, who were also reported to have shown interested in the sophomore receiver who played in 23 games for the Pokes.

This past season, Green hauled in 36 catches for 584 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns, before getting injured in the Bedlam game and missing the rest of the season.

As a freshman, Green hauled in 12 catches for 139 yards.

Green was one of three receivers to enter the portal in a two-day period after the turn of the calendar, joining John Paul Richardson, who committed to TCU, and Stephon Johnson Jr., who committed to Houston.

I am wondering about his twin brother. My wild guess is his brother might have to hold off a year before entering the portal because he has not played enough due to injuries and therefore his value might not be high enough until he gets to play next season. Or else, he wants to remain at OSU to continue with the rehab of his injuries.
If I recall correctly, Blaine was the more talented of the two brothers anyway. So I hope he is healthy for next season and wants to remain a Cowboy, at least for one more season before he tries to join his twin. We need him. But enough WRs, we need to be getting linemen and a coach who can teach them how to block and someone who can locate better shoulder pads to keep them from injuring themselves.

No offense but why articles on players who chose to leave? Especially including stats showing our loss. Would prefer personally more on O-State players.

or at least a paragraph or 2 about who we have on the roster that is expected to fill the void.

So, someone should find out how much a Wisconsin booster paid him to transfer. These receivers got into the portal looking for bigger paychecks.

yep... that is how the portal works.... and while we're at it, we need to disclose how much our incoming portal kids are getting....
