STILLWATER – After nearly a week off the court and out of the facilities due to COVID-19 precautions within the Oklahoma State program, the Pokes have been cleared to face No. 2 Baylor on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff for No. 2 Baylor is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on CBS.

This was first reported by Jacob Unruh of The Oklahoman.

Last week, a source told Pokes Report the first Bedlam installment of the 2020-21 season was postponed due to COVID-19 precautions. It marked the second-straight game postponement for the Pokes as the game against West Virginia in Morgantown last Tuesday was postponed due to COVID issues within the Mountaineer program.

“The well-being of the young men in our program has always been and will continue to be the most important thing to me, my staff and our administration,” said head coach Mike Boynton in a release when the pause of team activities was first put in place. “We’ve been very fortunate to play the games we’ve played thus far, and we will await the advice of our medical staff before making any decisions on a return to team activities.”

The Cowboys were allowed back into the facilities and practiced for the first time on Thursday after nearly a week out. As for the postponed Bedlam game, the Big 12 announced on Thursday the game had been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CT and will be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
