Game Flow

• Kalib Boone initiated the Cowboys offense early, scoring on a post-move to tie the game at 2-2.
• A 6-0 run from the Cowboys offense gave the Pokes their first lead of the night, 9-8.
• Two three-pointers from John-Michael Wright and five points from Bryce Thompson led the Cowboys early, but OSU trailed 24-21 with under eight minutes remaining in the first half.
• A 10-0 Horned Frogs’ run extended their lead to 32-21 with four minutes to play in the first half.
• Oklahoma State trailed TCU 47-27 at the halftime break.
• John-Michael Wright’s third three of the game gave OSU its first points of the second half, but trailed TCU 54-30.
• A 5-0 Cowboys’ run brought the lead down to 20 with 12:30 left to play.
• The Cowboys continued to fight throughout the second half, deploying a full-court press for the majority of the period. Bryce Thompson’s third three of the game cut the Horned Frogs’ lead down to 17 with 3:38 remaining.
• OSU fought until the end, but TCU shot 68 percent from the floor to knock off the Cowboys, 100-75.

Game Notes

• Head coach Mike Boynton went with Caleb Asberry, Bryce Thompson, John-Michael Wright, Kalib Boone and Woody Newton as the starting-five for the fifth-straight game. The Cowboys are 7-3 since inserting Newton as a starter.
• John-Michael Wright continues to shoot the lights out, scoring 15 points.. Wright also added two rebounds and three assists while knocking down three three-pointers.
• Wright has made at least three three-pointers in three-straight games, and has made three or more in eight games this season. Wright is shooting 51.7 percent from three-point range in his last five games.
• Bryce Thompson filled up the stat sheet on Saturday, scoring a team-high 18 points, grabbing four rebounds, dishing out four assists and notching three steals.
• Thompson has reached double-figures scoring in four-straight games for the Cowboys, and 16 times this season.
• Quion Williams came off the bench and made his presence felt in the second half, scoring eight points, three assists and one steal.
• As a team, the Cowboys have reached at least two blocks in every game this season. OSU leads the Big 12 with 5.4 blocked shots per game, which ranks 14th in the country.
