What Have We Learned in Spring Football in One Week?

STILLWATER – The pads will come on for the first time on Monday, March 27, as the Oklahoma State Cowboys go into the second week of spring football. Head coach Mike Gundy and the staff opted to get all of the mandatory non-contact practices in helmets, shells (protect the shoulders) and shorts in the first week.

Gundy said it made sense to do it that way and put in the work in full pads the rest of the spring drills.

If they stay healthy, fingers crossed, and the quarterbacks can get the ball to them, this receiver corps will be a nightmare for opposing teams! You have THREE very legitimate NFL prospects in Bray, Shettron and Johnson, plus the slot guys like Pressley and Bruce who are pretty good!!! I am also curious to see how the tight ends are incorporated as well!

Yes, I keep forgetting they jettisoned the Cowboy Back and he is no longer with the tight ends but is back at receiver full time!

Blaine Green and Rashod Owens have both gone to X receiver and yes, they should both do well. I think the receivers when you include both Brennan Presley and Arland Bruce IV will be stronger overall even after losses in the Portal. That is a position that is truly stronger now.

And I also neglected to mention another tremendously talented newcomer in Dzhaun Stribling!!!
