Very good story Robert. I did not realize that Travis Monken was on the coaching staff. Your story alludes a bit to that the young Monken is following in his Dad's footsteps and doing it the right way with proper guidance from his Dad and Mike Gundy and the other good coaches he is surrounded by. I understand the proud feeling that I'm sure Todd Monken feels because it is how I feel with my own son coaching in north Texas.
I've always been a fan of Todd Monken, and when he was at O-State the stories written about him reminded me of some of the plain-spoken (with spicy language) construction superintendents that I grew my career with. They speak the truth, coach hard, and expect excellence in work ethic and craftsmanship and that is how I remember Todd Monken to be. Go Pokes!
