Moussa Cisse Announces Decision To Enter Transfer Portal

STILLWATER – A third Oklahoma State player has entered his name into the transfer portal. Moussa Cisse took to Twitter Sunday evening announced he has entered into the portal.

Cisse joins fellow center Kalib Boone and guard Avery Anderson III, who announced their intentions to transfer this past week. Boynton and Co. are still awaiting an official decision from fellow big-man Tyreek Smith, who still has two years of eligibility remaining.

The seven-footer has been a defensive stalwart during his two seasons in Stillwater. This past season, Cisse averaged 6.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Before getting injured against West Virginia in the second Big 12 game of the season, Cisse was averaging close to a double-double, with 8.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He’d finish this past season with six double-doubles.

A former five-star prospect who transferred from Memphis, Cisse was tabbed the 2022 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year following a solid first year in Stillwater. He started in 26 of 30 games, playing in 29. He posted 7.2 points in 20 minutes per game, while averaging 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

He’d finish the 2022-23 season with five double-doubles.

This makes things incredibly interesting for Boynton and Co., who are bringing in 2023 top-30 prospect, Brandon Garrison, a F/C out of Del City, and now how at least two scholarships to fill based on portal departures.
