STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to fill some roster spots with the transfer portal and have officially turned their sights westward. According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Mike Boynton and Co. are pursuing Oregon State transfer wing, Glenn Taylor Jr.

He recently visited Ohio State, is setting up a visit to St. John’s and Utah, USC and Texas Tech are also in the mix.

Taylor checks in at 6-6, 200 pounds and is originally out of Arizona Compass Prep and Las Vegas, NV. He showed solid improvement from his freshman to sophomore season as he averaged 11.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this past season, shooting 43% from the field.

He appeared in all 32 games as a sophomore for the Beavers, starting in 26, averaging 30.1 minutes per game. He also recorded 70 assists, 80 turnovers and 19 blocks.

Between his freshman and sophomore seasons, Taylor averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, while shooting nearly 45% from the field.

There are four roster spots Boynton and Co. are trying to fill following the departures of Avery Anderson III, who committed to TCU on Saturday, Kalib Boone, who committed to UNLV last week, Moussa Cisse, Woody Newton and Tyreek Smith.

I notice that he is a first-time transfer player.

I wasn't tracking but does anyone know if Boynton has pursued any portal players that were not first-time or graduate transfers for this next team?
