STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is in the search of size down low following departures in the portal of Kalib Boone, Moussa Cisse and Tyreek Smith. Mike Boynton and Co. are currently showing interest in a name familar to the program as they recruited him out of high school, Tre White.

White’s a 6-7, 210 pound forward out of Dallas, TX, who just recently finished his freshman season at Southern Cal before entering the transfer portal.

The Cowboys are just one of several schools that have reached out in the past few days.

White had a solid freshman season as he played in 33 games for the Trojans, starting in 29, and averaging 9.0 points on 47% shooting from the field and 5.1 rebounds per game.

This would be a great addition for Boynton and Co. as White not only adds talent down low, but would bring some experience to the young 2023 class. It’ll be a tough fight for whichever school lands White as there’s some tough competition as you can see from the list of schools in the tweet above.

Another prospect who could be on the Pokes’ radar is Michigan transfer, Gregg Glenn III. Mike Boynton and Co. were the first school to offer Glenn way back in April of 2019.

Glenn checks in at 6-7, 230 pounds and just wrapped up his freshman season at Michigan before entering the portal. Despite Michigan’s need for a bigger guy down low, Glenn was unable to crack the lineup. For whatever reason, some freshmen just need a little bit of time to grow into the collegiate game. It’s possible Glenn just needs time as he played in just four games as a true freshman, averaging just 1.5 points and rebounds and playing just 11 minutes.
