STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is still looking to fill three roster spots ahead of next season, with at least one of the spots being another big man. According to a report from Jon Rothstein, the Cowboys are in the mix to land Arizona State transfer, Warren Washington.

Washington checks in at 7-0, 225 pounds and is originally out of Escondido, CA. He just wrapped up his senior season with the Sun Devils, averaging 9.2 points on 56% shooting from the field and 6.9 rebounds per game. He also shot 67% from the free throw line.

In his final game with ASU, a 72-70 loss to TCU in the second round of the NCAA tournament, Washington finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Washington transferred to Arizona State prior to the 2022-23 season from Nevada, where he spent the previous three seasons. In his final season at Nevada, he led the Wolf Pack in shooting percentage and rebounds, while averaging 10.5 points on 61% shooting and 6.6 rebounds per game.

According to the tweet from Rothstein, Washington’s already made trips to TCU and Texas Tech. There’s no question Mike Boynton and Co. will be pushing to get him to Stillwater for a visit before he makes a decision.

The Cowboys have landed two transfers out of the portal up to this point, including 6-11 Mike Marsh out of Jacksonville University.
