Oklahoma State Lands First 2024 Receiver Commitment in Keller's Tre Griffiths

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football’s big official weekend continues to pay dividends as 2024 Keller (TX) HS wide receiver, Tre Griffiths, announced his commitment to the Pokes.

Griffiths marks the eighth commitment for the Pokes in the 2024 class, the fifth offensive commit and the first wide receiver.

Checking in at 6-4, 205 pounds, Griffiths chose the Cowboys offer Baylor, Boston College, Kansas, Texas Tech and Utah among others. In fact, several recruiting outlets had Baylor as heavy favorites to land Griffiths as he’s been to Waco multiple times, including their Junior Day this past spring.

This past season for Keller, Griffiths helped the Indians to an 10-3 overall record as he hauled in 30 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. With his performance, Griffiths was tabbed first-team All-District honors for 6A Region I District 4. As we wrote in our premium exclusive visitors piece on Thursday, Keller is losing its top receiver from last season, senior Amarion Henry. So, Griffiths is set to take over that spot as the next receiver behind him had just 183 yards.

As you can see from his Hudl highlights, Griffiths is a talented outside receiver with plenty of size and speed to get behind defenders. He also has good hands and the ability to break tackles after contact, as well as stay on his feet and in-bounds towards the sidelines after contact.

This is a solid pick-up for Kasey Dunn and Co. as Griffiths has the chance to be one of the top performers in this class for the Pokes this fall.

OK, the kid can break tackles for sure. Looks good. Hopefully, NIL $ does not lure him away if he has a great season this fall. Good height and he will put on some weight.
