STILLWATER – Oklahoma State signee Eric Dailey Jr. will once again be suiting up for USA Basketball as he was one of 12 players selected to play for USA’s FIBA U19 World Cup team.

Head coach Mike Boynton was also selected as an on-court assistant coach.

This year’s U19 World Cup is being held in Debrecen Hungary from June 24-July 2, with the Americans kicking things off on June 24 in pool play against Madagascar. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 a.m. CT.

According to the release put out by Oklahoma State, USA will face Slovenia (June 25) and Lebanon (June 27) during pool play to determine its seeding in the 16-team placement bracket, June 28-July 2. Fans can watch live streams of all games at youtube.com/fiba.

This marks the second time both Dailey and Boynton have been a part of USA Basketball as the pair won a gold medal in the U18 Americas Championship last summer. Dailey, who also played with fellow OSU signee Brandon Garrison, averaged 9.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from three-point range and 42% from the field.

Dailey also helped win a gold medal back in 2021 in the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup, as well as winning the 2021 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup dunk contest.

Oklahoma State and USA Basketball have been quite the pair the past four years as Isaac Likekele and Cade Cunningham also won gold in the U19 World Cup back in 2019. Three other Cowboys have helped USA Basketball win gold as Jawun Evans won in 2015, Marcus Smart in 2013 and Matt Clark in 1979.
