SMH. Nice to know our backup slot will be an outside receiver converted to cowboy back converted to a slot receiver. In typical cowboy fashion I expect our qb next year to be a former linebacker converted to cornerback converted to qb. Can the cowboys program go one off-season anymore without some bs? The off-season antics are becoming embarrassing at this point especially since our whole image is based on cowboy culture.

It's kind of amazing to me why OSU doesn't get burners in the slot like everyone else. Dunn obviously wants something different there since we get guys like Green that's a size mismatch or some fairly quick guys like Presley, but not a guy that simply runs away from safeties forced to cover them like every other program out there.

We really don't care how they get open we just want them to catch the ball and find a way to separate. I just find it interesting that with few exceptions, our guys don't always fit the mold most use by recruiting blazing speed in the slot to make it tough for safeties to run with them,.

The sad truth is we just can't pick what we need to fill needs. Osu is at a point we take what we can get. Roberts recent statements about recruiting and the Gundy comments he shared shed a scary reality on our recruiting. We get the players that really want to be here or recruits that no one else is looking at. We have to be sneaky and deceptive to land guys so competition doesn't come in and take him. We just don't have juice in recruiting. So if there isn't a burner at slot that wants to come to osu bad then we gotta find a diamond somewhere to hopefully develop. There was a time when we could be selective especially at receiver but that has faded. We need to get back on the radar and stay there so better talent wants to come here like the slot type player you're talking about.

I can't figure you out, you gripe and complain about not having enough four and five stars coming out of high school and Bruce was one of those, a 4 star, coming out of high school, then you complain about why we even brought him in!!! Schizophrenic much!!! But then again maybe that Cowboy RED handle you used to go by says a whole lot!!!

It's more of you don't understand what I'm saying ever. You look at it through your lenses and from my point of view I can see you don't understand. Which is fine. It's not false that we don't just reel in the guy we want in most cases. With the portal and an available role that helps but we just don't go get the high school kids. But I think pope and heard could be those developmental burners that guy was talking about. Dunn has always done well with those guys especially. Always develops a slot or 2.

But to that guys point we don't just get that burner guy that blows the top off the defense but if we could I think that type we be here over having slot guys 6'2 200 plus.

I don't want your opinions regulated - in fact I welcome all opinions. You see, I like to live in reality. The reality where you can distinguish the sane from the insane, the normal from the abnormal, the logical from the illogical, the informed from the uninformed, the wise from the fools, and the well adjusted from the baths!t crazies.
