Watch: Mike Gundy Discusses 29-21 Win Over Kansas State
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy met with the media following the Cowboys’ 29-21 win over Kansas State on Friday evening.
The Pokes moved to 3-2 on the season and an even 1-1 in Big 12 play.
“That was a good college football game; a lot of excitement, two good teams, great atmosphere,” said head coach Mike Gundy. “Very thankful and appreciative to our fans and the blackout. Friday night and it looked like to me there weren’t hardly any seats available. Great football game and I’m glad we were able to finish it. Defense played well, really well. Forced [K-State] into some tough situations. When they threw us the ball, we caught it. The defensive side obviously made plays. It’s a simple game: rush for over four yards a carry, don’t turn the ball over. Two things in this game: we won the turnovers, which is important, and we won the hidden yards against them.”
