Who will coach? Who will play?

This new life in college football is simply screwed up.
The NIL/Transfer Portal has been great for individual players, but hell for teams, coaches and the universities they represent.

It's like NFL free agency -- it was great for the players, but that was about it. Growing up knowing who was going to be on a team, be it NFL or college, for at least long enough to learn the players and their positions without needed a weekly printout roster, was less stressful as a fan.

I remember when the great players at college got a new car and a handshake deal/easy job from some boosder and they were pretty happy with that for 3-4 years going.
Now, Shadeur Sanders is wearing a $70K wrist watch as a college underclassman.
Dang, man.

And thsee players will only play long enough to get their draft stock up. A holiday bowl game with teammates, respresenting the university that gave them the opportunity doesn't matter. They don't want to "focus on their prep for the NFL draft" (and don't want to get hurt).

But, we the fans and our teams have no say in that.
All of the power has shifted to these 19-21 year old athletes.
Gundy worked hard to establish "The Culture" at oSu and after decades, that culture doesn't mean (to quote the old lady in The Outlaw Josey Wales): "Don't mean doodley squat.".

And ou sucks more than ever.
I know there are rules, but do we really want to follow them now?
