STILLWATER – An extra inning walk-off hit from Rosie Davis led the No. 4/7 Oklahoma State softball team to a 4-3 win over Wichita State at Cowgirl Stadium Wednesday night.

With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 18-2 overall, while Wichita State moves to 9-6 with the loss.

The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Jilyen Poullard hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Scotland David for the game’s first run.

In the sixth, the Shockers responded with three runs off two hits and two errors. The Cowgirls tied the game in the bottom half of the inning after a triple from Davis plated Macy Graf and Sophie Page.

After neither team was able to score in the seventh, the game went into extra innings for the first time this season.

In the bottom half of the eighth, Karli Godwin singled up to left center and advance to second on an error. A wild pitch from WSU’s Barber advanced Godwin to third. With two outs, Davis hit an RBI single through the right side to score Godwin for the walk-off victory.

Lexi Kilfoyl and Ivy Rosenberry (5-0) combined for 11 strikeouts and gave up only five hits. Wichita State’s Chloe Barber moves to 4-2 with the loss.

The Cowgirls return to action when they start conference play against the No. 19/14 Baylor Bears Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Waco, Texas.
