frankly I'm much more interested in the big name kids we're trying to land, than kids that nobody else wants, that could possibly pan-out some day.
Five Under The Radar Prospects Who Should Get Power 5 Looks
This time of year is a big one to evaluate prospects, which is why you see many prospects go from just a handful of offers to double digits or perhaps go from no offers to double digits. As many of you know, I dont just like to cover Oklahoma State targets, but any prospects that catch my eye.
I have a list of five prospects who all are starting to pick up offers, most of which are non power 5, but they are ones who I believe can play at the power 5 level in the future.
Here are the five:
Antonio Robinson - WR - Melissa, TX - 6’3 - 190 - 2022
Robinson is a good looking wide receiver prospect, one with many facets to his game. Right now, he holds six offers from Eastern Michigan, William & Mary, Utah State, Arizona, New Mexico, and New Mexico State. Robinson is a decent route runner, but what he sometimes lacks in seperation, he makes up for in physicality attacking the ball. I would say his best skill is using his 4.5 speed to get behind and on top defenders, most of whom can not stay in phase with him. He has great athleticism, especially vertical jump. Many of his highlights you can see him jumping very high to bring down a ball or take one off the defenders head. His after the catch playmaking is really good and can be seen in some special teams returns as well. He has very good feel of where he is on the field and it can be shown with some impressive toe tap catches on the sideline and in the endzone. This past season, he had 45 catches for 900 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Ronald “Champ” Lewis - DB - New Orleans, LA - 6’2 - 170 - 2022
Any athlete that comes from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans already has a big fan in me. Warren Easton is a Louisiana powerhouse and produces division one talent year in and year out. Lewis holds 10 offers, only two power 5, Kansas and Virginia. The other eight offers are Lamar, Louisana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Memphis, Southeastern Louisiana, Tulane, and UTSA. Lewis is an elite level ball hawk, which can be seen by his first eight clips of his junior highlights all being interceptions. Those eight interceptions actually led the state of Louisiana. He also tacked on 32 tackles and 7 pass break ups in his junior season. In the run game, he is a strong asset, showing good pursuit skills and squaring up defenders when tackling instead of arm tackles. He is not afraid of contact and will get physical with ball carriers. He plays 7v7 with the LA Bootleggers, one of the best 7v7 organizations in the country. He was named to the 1st Team All District, 1st Team All Metro and 1st Team All State teams. Lewis can play both safety and cornerback.

Jaidyn Doss - WR - Peculiar, MO - 6’1 - 195 - 2023
This find would be due to a call from my boss, Pokes Report publisher Robert Allen, who called me on Tuesday and dropped the name Jaidyn Doss. He holds offers from Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State. If you like physical receivers, Doss is your guy. Doss is a good route runner, but his best attribute comes when the ball hits his hands. He is extremely physical when defenders attempt to make tackles, his contact balance is tremendous. He also has the ability to make defenders miss altogether with some solid footwork in traffic. You will see Doss run a variety of routes go routes, digs, tunnel screens, comebacks, etc. He’s a 2023 but his talent is visible. He is listed as running a 4.47 forty yard dash and testing a 35 inch vertical jump. His sophomore season, he had 46 receptions for 976 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also added 29 carries for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 290 kick return yards and 2 touchdown returns, one which was 99 yards.

Ahmaad Moses - S - Mansfield, TX - 5’11 - 195 - 2022
Moses has really come on lately, picking up all seven of his offers since Feb. 10. I watched Moses this past summer and he really showed some athleticism in some practice 7v7. He has had high production for Mansfied Summit the past two seasons totaling 200 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 12 pass breakups, 7 interceptions, and pick 6’s. His seven offers are Marshall, UTSA, Georgia Tech, Utah State, Utah, UNLV, and Tulane. In 2019, was named the District 7-6A Defensive Sophomore of the Year and was a first-team all-district selection as a junior. Moses is an extremely physical tackler and regularly puts kids in the dirt, breaking up passes. He has very good instincts on the field and does not take much time making up his mind. He plays a Kolby Harvell-Peel like game, playing a center field role fairly often and crashes down quickly in the run game and quarterback scrambles. He does not miss open field tackles. He is an extreme athlete, completely hurdling players on the regular. He plays good competitin at Mansfield Summit and is only trending up on the recruiting scene.

Devin Turner - S - Frisco, TX - 6’2 - 185 - 2022
I have written about Turner several times, starting when I saw him play in the third round of the playoffs. When I first wrote about being an “Under The Radar” prospect on Jan. 7, he had zero offers, now he holds eight offers from Marshall, Kansas, Minnesota, Tulane, San Diego State, Air Force, Tulsa, and Arizona. He is a lengthy and very physical body in the secondary. His size looks like it would translate to the safety position, but with his length, he could be valuable at cornerback against bigger receivers. In most of his film, he starts at the top of the play but quickly diagnoses plays and explodes to a spot. His football IQ speaks for itself. He has polished ball skills and is able to read where a ball is going before it goes there. He is a great open field tackler and shows a knack for physicality at the point of attack. Turner is teammates with Oklahoma State running back signee Jaden Nixon and quarterback commit Garret Rangel, who he also plays 7v7 with. I watched Turner in a 7v7 tournament and he is as dominant there as with pads on.
