Report: Oklahoma State to Host Wyoming Transfer Brendan Wenzel
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Steve Lutz is set to host Wyoming transfer guard, Brendan Wenzel, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3.
Wenzel will be in Stillwater April 18, then travel down to Fort Worth and TCU on April 20 and Lubbock and Texas Tech on April 26.
It was also reported on Sunday that Lutz and Co. will be hosting Arkansas transfer, and former OSU commit, Davonte Davis, in the coming days.
This past season as a senior for the Pokes in brown and yellow, Wenzel started 31 of 31 games and averaged 11.6 points per game on nearly 41% shooting from the field. He also shot 38% from 3-point range, 81% from the free throw line and brought down 5.1 rebounds per game. He had 45 assists and 38 turnovers on the year with 24 steals.
Those numbers are up from the previous season as Wenzel played in 24 games, starting in 21, and averaged 7.9 points per game on 37% shooting from the field and 41% from beyond the arc, with 3.8 rebounds per game.
The 6-7, 208-pound wing spent the past three seasons with Wyoming after a mid-year transfer from Utah in 2020-21.
