Oklahoma State Lands Kilgore Qualifier Chris Robinson For Upcoming 2024 Season
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed a commitment from Kilgore linebacker, Chris Robinson. The important note about this commitment is Robinson is a qualifier and will be on campus and on the team for the upcoming 2024 season.
Robinson is 6-2, 220 pounds and runs a 4.4 in the forty. He is projected as a hybrid linebacker that can drop back and cover, so playing more like a strong safety. He can also walk up on the line of scrimmage and be an explosive edge pass rusher.
He chose the Cowboys over offers from Houston, New Mexico State and Texas Tech among others.
Robinson, who was on campus this past week on an official visit, was a freshman this past season at Kilgore with the Rangers. He fought his way through the depth chart to become a starter, finishing the season with 38 total tackles, two sacks for 17 yards and 5.5 tackles for loss.
Originally out of Harker Heights in Killeen, TX, Robinson was lights out as a senior as he recorded 106 tackles, 62 of which were unassisted, an impressive 27 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 18 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and an interception.
