Oklahoma State Gets a Commitment from Owasso Deep Snapper Jaxson Duffield
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State gained a commitment from long snapper Jaxson Duffield of Owasso on Tuesday night (June 18). The 6-1, 215-pound senior-to-be announced his commitment on Twitter/X. Duffield had been on Oklahoma State’s radar because of his performance at Owasso and then the OSU staff got to see him up close during the Cowboys specialist camp earlier this month. Duffield will be a preferred or recruited walk-on but he has the talent and abilities to earn a scholarship.
Besides being the starting long snapper on punts and field goals and PATs for Owasso, Duffield has also trained with Kohl’s Kicking and was recently awarded a 5-star rating and named the No. 10 long snapping prospect in the class.
Kohl’s Kicking:
“Duffield has refined himself to be one of the best snappers in the country. He was very impressive in the Kohl’s Texas Showcase. He finished with an average snap time of .66 seconds and had tight rotation on every snap.”
He ran 4.93 seconds in his 40-yard dash and Kohl’s had this summation:
“He has everything a coach is looking for in a starting deep snapper and he has the determination to be truly special.”
Below are his highlights from his junior season at Owasso.
This is a great pickup for the Oklahoma State program.
