STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Kenny Gajewski have added yet another talented softball player out of the transfer portal. Rachael Hathoot, a transfer from New Mexico, took to Twitter on Sunday evening to announce a commitment to the Pokes.

This commitment marks the fourth player added to the roster for Gajewski and Co., joining Washington pitcher Ruby Meylan, NC State catcher Amanda Hasler and Baylor pitcher RyLee Crandall.

Hathoot, originally out of Albuquerque, N.M., just wrapped up her redshirt senior season with the Lobos playing in 54 games at shortstop and earned Mountain West All-Conference First Team honors. She recorded a career-best 66 hits and a batting average of .382, an on-base percentage of .423 and a slugging percentage of .457.

She posted similar numbers in 2023, in which she posted 59 hits and a batting average of .396, an on-base percentage of .452 and a slugging percentage of .611. Those numbers are coming off a season in 2022 in which she had a medical redshirt. Those numbers earned her the first All-Mountain West First Team honor of her career.

The 2025 season will be Hathoot’s final year of eligibility.
