STILLWATER – Oklahoma State coaches and Cowboy football fans tuned into Texan Live! from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football website to see what Kobi Forman would announce. The Texas Top 300 and Dallas Morning News All-Metro team standout was making a live announcement from the Texas State 7v7 Championships with his friends, family, and coaches present and when it came time to decide Foreman said it was Oklahoma State that he would attend and play football for.

You can watch his commitment via this YouTube Link.

“The way they made me feel,” Foreman said on the live stream of why he chose Oklahoma State. “It felt like family, it felt like home. Outside of football, it’ll make me a better person and a better man.”

Oklahoma State came down the stretch of the recruiting this summer with three defensive back prospects they were involved in and were hoping to get. They had already secured the commitment of Dallas (Lake Highlands), Texas safety Ayden Webb.

The three remaining players on the board at that position were Coleman Patmon of Del Valle near Austin, Texas; Jayden Sanders of Kilgore, Texas; and Kobi Foreman. Patmon, who visited in April, made his decision on June 26 and picked Arizona. Sanders has yet to announce his decision but is consider Oklahoma State along with Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, and Baylor. Foreman was the other.

All three seem capable of playing cornerback and/or safety. Pokes Report ranked them in this order, knowing all three were good enough to play; 1. Foreman; 2. Sanders; and 3. Patmon.

At this stage, Oklahoma State ends up with Pokes Report’s top-rated prospect in Foreman.

A 4.3 speedster that has also clocked a 10.6 in the 100 meters. Foreman is a three-way threat that can play offense, plays cornerback, and can return kicks. Last season he returned one interception for a touchdown. He contributed on all sides of the football, but spent most of his time on defense. As a sophomore, Foreman had 172-yards and a touchdown receiving, 138-yards and a touchdown rushing, and 12 tackles on defense.

Foreman had 18 total scholarship offers and it was Arizona State, Baylor, Houston, and SMU that were the finalists in the end with Oklahoma State.
