Oklahoma State Football to Travel the Least Among Big 12 Schools

STILLWATER – Even with the start of fall camp starting for Oklahoma State this week, we’re still in the middle of watch list and miscellaneous stat season. The latest miscellaneous stat I’ve come across comes from bookies.com.

They did some research via Google Earth and the Cowboys will have the least amount of travel in conference play.

They’re set to travel just 4,380.14 miles across six road trips, while West Virginia, no surprise here, will travel the most as the Mountaineers are set to travel 11,137.58 miles across five road trips.

The Pokes’ longest trip is out to Provo, UT, for the game against BYU on Oct. 18, while their trip to Tulsa on Sept. 14 is obviously the shortest.

The Cowboys start the Big 12 schedule out at home against Utah on Sept. 21, travel to Kansas State on Sept. 28, host West Virginia on Oct. 5, travel to BYU on Oct. 18, travel to Baylor on Sept. 26, host Arizona State for Homecoming on Nov. 2, travel to TCU on Nov. 9, host Texas tech on Nov. 23 and finish the season at Colorado on Nov. 29.

Schools ranked with the most to least amount of miles traveled in Big 12 play

  • West Virginia – 11137.58
  • Arizona St. – 10025.68
  • Utah – 9796.32
  • UCF – 9778.44
  • BYU – 9420.76
  • Arizona – 9321.86
  • Houston – 9021.32
  • Texas Tech – 8672.18
  • Baylor – 8223.20
  • Cincinnati – 8172.62
  • TCU – 7633.54
  • Kansas St. – 7599.76
  • Colorado – 7427.86
  • Kansas – 7381.10
  • Iowa St. – 5501.90
  • Oklahoma St. – 4380.14
