STILLWATER – Oklahoma State center Joe Michalski is one of 40 FBS players on the preseason watch list for the 2024 Rimington Trophy, presented annually to the most outstanding center in college football.

After leading all power conference players with 1,035 offensive snaps played in 2023, Michalski returns in 2024 as one of OSU's key offensive leaders and one the top centers in the FBS.

Last season alone, Michalski was one of two FBS players to play more than 600 pass blocking snaps (617) without allowing a sack, earned honorable mention honors for Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year from the league's head coaches and was voted a season team captain by his teammates.

He was the leader of an offensive line that blocked for the nation's leading rusher, ranked No. 7 in the FBS in fewest sacks allowed per game and ranked No. 14 in the FBS in fewest tackles for loss allowed per game. He also earned first team Academic All-Big 12 honors and joined running back Ollie Gordon II as the only two Cowboy offensive players to start all 14 games.

The Rimington Trophy committee worked with Pro Football Focus (PFF) to narrow its 2024 watch list to the top 40 centers in college football. PFF grades every player on every play of every game on how well they execute their given assignment.

The winner will be determined from the three All-America teams put together by the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America.
