STILLWATER – Part of what Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, his entire offensive staff, the offensive players, especially the offensive line and Ollie Gordon, Cowboys fans were all hoping for was  that the Tulsa game would be this season’s breakout for the Cowboy run game. Not really, Oklahoma State ran for 129-yards and Gordon II had 17 carries for 41-yards. On the first series, a 16 play and 75-yard drive for a touchdown, Gordon carried seven times for 23-yards.

Ollie appeared to get dinged. Anyone with insight as to his situation? Bowman is looking as good as I'd hoped. Interception was hard to understand but otherwise, excellent. About 425 yards passing between Bowman and Rangel....(who also looked good). Very good!!

Fan Duel has the pokes as a 2.5 favorite over utes. I saw elsewhere that UU opened as a 1.5 pick.

Fan Duel believes the Utah people are not being forthcoming about Risings injury and believe he actually has two broken fingers!!! They are Vegas based and the Vegas people have an uncanny way of finding out this type of information!!! Do I believe Fan Duel or the Utah people? I have NO CLUE WHO IS RIGHT AND WHO IS WRONG HERE!!!

I for one am glad to hear Coach Gundy talk about "... not pounding your head against a brick wall and get to the pass quicker". A balanced offense can either run or pass. As Coach Gungy said ".. the defense dictates what you do". If they want to stack the box then we should go to the pass. Tulsa is the result, 450 yds, 6 TD's and the win! Way to go Coach! If Bowman and company can keep that up, other teams will defend the pass, then Ollie will show up.

Josh's play for the TD was awesome..: the end was sold out on watching for the run.

I've noted it before, but if you watch Utah State vs Utah.....Arkansas looked tougher IMO. Of course, Risings didn't play.

How did the offensive line grade out on run blocking? It seemed we weren't real effective in blocking the ones we were suppose to.

According to PFF grading system we rank 9th in the Big 12 on run blocking and 1st in pass blocking through Week 3. It should be noted that Dalton Cooper is tied for 2nd amongst tackles in pass blocking and in the top 20 for run blocking in all of the Power 4 conferences.

It would be interesting to see how the Coaches grade each position group after the non conference portion of the schedule but I know that info is kept pretty tight to the vest! Thanks Eddy!

I would assume this takes run stats into account. Pretty misleading if teams continue to sell out on 8 men boxes and letting Bowman prove he can pass without turning it over with interceptions. So far.....Bowman 3, defensive schemes 0. I think he's better than he's being given credit for personally.
