Four-Star Duncanville Linebacker Jordan Crook Commits To Cowboys
The day has finally arrived! Jordan Crook, 2022 Duncanville linebacker, has announced his commitment to Oklahoma State via Twitter.
Crook is a four-star prospect and regarded as one of the best linebackers in America in the 2022 class.
The 6-0 225-pound stud playmaker chose the Cowboys over 27 other offers including the likes of USC, Michigan, Nebraska, Baylor and Arkansas. Oklahoma State offered Jordan back in early June of 2019, so this recruitment has been taking place for around two years.

In his junior season, Jordan was a key contributor in one of the most talented defenses in the nation, where he racked up 93 tackles, 11 sacks, 3 interceptions, and a forced fumble.

Crook is a traditional middle linebacker in terms of how hard he attacks ball carriers. He is extremely physical but is also an extremely high-level athlete. He has the ability and versatility to play in the secondary but also has the strength and high motor to take on offensive lineman in pass rush situations, which he has excelled in.

When it comes to sideline-to-sideline defenders, Crook is a perfect example of one. His instincts are elite in diagnosing plays and enable him to explode out of his pre-snap position to pursue ball carriers.
Crook is the eighth commitment for the Cowboys in the class of 2022, the fourth on the defensive of the ball. He joins Stillwater’s Gabe Brown as the linebackers committed in this class to this point.
The recruiting and coaching staff wanted to bring in at least two linebackers with this class. With Brown and Crook in the fold, I could see the staff going after a traditional outside backer or edge rusher type of athlete.
Crook’s commitment firmly puts the Cowboys back into the top 10 national recruiting rankings for the 2022 class.
