MANHATTAN, Ks. – Oklahoma State head coach football coach Mike Gundy has been bringing up his late mother Judy quite a bit lately with his football team. In fact, she has been referenced in the last two postgame locker room meetings. Gundy usually gets in around 5 a.m. on Sunday mornings after a game, but thanks to his mom and Gundy following her advice and his allegiance that time will be earlier after the 42-20 loss to Kansas State.

I knew Judy Gundy well.

He has to simplify things for the oldest O Line in college football? I think that right there tells you all you need to know about this team and the pathetic coaching job of the OC and DC. And all due respect to Gundy, but at this point not playing Flores when you're down by four touchdowns or whatever we were, is inexcusable. Bowman is terrible. Other teams play their freshman quarterback and other Freshman all the time. Besides, he's a redshirt freshman. That's just the hard truth and Gundy, and this program, once again, finds themselves at a crossroads.

Interesting, are we going back to 2008 and 2009 where Mike is sitting on an equipment case preparing plays on the IPad or surface which ever one the colleges use now? As far as the running game defense defeat the o lineman or at least stalemate and then LBs have to maintain their gaps and TACKLE AND GET THE PLAYER ON THE GROUND AT FIRST CONTACT!!! They need to show them 2021 tape of Malcolm Rodriguez and Devin Harper!!!

I am going to ask, and this the fourth or fifth time I have asked, but how do you know Flores is the long term answer what if it is the freshman, Maeli Smith!!! I can't tell you anything about Flores or Smith because I haven't seen him perform with my own eyes, I am just relying on what other people present as witnesses who have seen them in practice but again I haven't seen anything with my own eyes!!

Joe Lombardi nor his players weren't even close to making Gundy's (and Gundy's players), salary either... Not only that...Lombardi won championships...just saying. Gundy has some hard decisions to make.

For the third straight game, we have been dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Unt
Until that gets fixed, we are not going to win many conference games. Our coaching staff is not getting the job done.

This is the worst gundy team in a long while.

Glad he'll be there early, I'm sure that'll fix it.

In reply to Joe Khatib:

We have no idea if Flores is the answer or not. And that's exactly the point! We don't know. Just like we didn't know that Weeden was a much better QB than Robinson until Weeden actually played in a game. Maybe he's not the answer but we know one thing for sure: Bowman is not the answer. He has PTSD from all his previous injuries (who can blame him?) and is mentally incapable of staying in the pocket and setting his feet.

We also know that Rangel isn't the answer either. We have 6 year O lineman and a 7th year QB and we are actually WORSE than the previous year? Seriously? At this point in time, what's wrong with Bowman can not be fixed. He plays undisciplined football like he's playing in somebody's backyard. And don't get me wrong, Dunn needs to be replaced ASAP. He's magnifying our problems.

Hell, let them both play and let's put an end to the discussion. Simple enough!

When the KState loss was evident in the late 3rd and 4th quarter would have been a great time to try Flores. No pressure or even team politics. They had claimed Rangel and Flores were tied for #2......Rangel had a quarter against Utah. Bowman had not been effective and thrown interception so it was an obvious time to try to find spark. Gundy has to have an NFL level passer OR a run/pass qb it seems. Flores can supposedly do both.

The solution to the Dunn problem is the HC going back to sitting on the equipment box while the defense is on the field prepping and devising play calls for the next offensive series ala the 2008 win up in Columbia, Missouri!!!

You meant Alex Cate not Robinson. I think 90% of Ok State Nation could see Weeden was better, but it sure took Gundy a lot longer to see it for some reason!
