STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head wrestling coach David Taylor took the Cowboys coaching job fresh off the disappointment of missing out on the Paris Olympics with a loss at the USA Wrestling Olympic Trials. Taylor is a grown man, a seasoned world competitor, the 2020 gold medalist in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics at 86 kg. He is a three-time World Champion at 86 kg. He was a four-time finalist and two-time champion in the NCAA at 165 pounds and one year (finalist) at 157 pounds.
