Oklahoma State Softball Releases Big 12 Conference Slate
STILLWATER – The Big 12 Conference has unveiled its schedule for the upcoming softball season, with Oklahoma State Softball set to host four series at Cowgirl Stadium.
The 2025 campaign marks the first season in the conference for Big 12 newcomers Arizona, Arizona State and Utah, and the Cowgirls are set to face off against two of the three in league play.
Oklahoma State begins Big 12 competition with a premier series on the road against Texas Tech from March 7-9. This marks the second time in the last four years that the Pokes have opened conference play against the Red Raiders, as they swept them 3-0 in Stillwater in 2022.
OSU returns to Stillwater for a two-week homestand, first for the Big 12 home opener against Houston from March 14-16, followed by a matchup against Baylor from March 21-23.
The Cowgirls then travel to Tucson, Ariz., to take on 2024 NCAA Super Regional foe and conference newcomer Arizona from April 4-6. The Cowgirls and Wildcats haven’t faced off in Tucson since 2015.
Following its Arizona trip, OSU welcomes Iowa State to Stillwater from April 11-13 then heads to Orlando, Fla., for a series against UCF from April 17-19 (Thursday-Saturday). The Cowgirls and Knights have previously met in Orlando just once, a 2-0 win for OSU in 2009.
Oklahoma State remains on the road as it travels to Lawrence, Kan., for a tilt against the Jayhawks from April 25-27, before returning home to round out the regular season against 2023 NCAA Women’s College World Series participants Utah from May 2-4.
Tenth-year head coach Kenny Gajewski and his staff welcome back 17 returners from a squad that clinched a fifth-consecutive NCAA WCWS appearance, in addition to boasting the second-ranked transfer class in the nation according to Softball America.
