STILLWATER – With Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy running off the field and quickly wanting to make it to the locker room to start addressing the defense after a first half that left Oklahoma State trailing 21-14 to Arizona State, he stopped long enough to tell the Cowboys Radio Network audience that that defense wasn’t getting off the field. They were failing on fourth downs. Without looking at a stat sheet, Gundy very accurately described his team’s problem.

The problem is talent as well as scheme. Arroyo could have called anything and it would have worked. Again their OL dominated us and we have no LBs at all. Why we did not go into the portal and get some LBs I don't understand. Worst defense in the country. Burn it down and start over through the portal and a new coordinator. I was very impressed with the ASU defense. Athletic, strong and well coached.

Nardo probably will go, but he is not the biggest problem with the defense.

No hidden agenda. Nardo is not the biggest problem with the defense. Two All-Americans injured, the rest of the staff is as responsible as Nardo as they are back running the previous four-down scheme, most of what they ran under Knowles. Trust me, Nardo is not the major problem here. I'm positive Mike Gundy will deal with all issues. He always does but in the offseason.

Robert elaborate what you think the issues are on defense. OSU is 133 out of 133 in Total Defense.

What makes you believe Nardo will be replaced and what do you see the issues besides him being. Aside from losing Martin Oliver stand 9. Injuries everyone can see.

Im not going into the issues, but I believe Coach Gundy will carefully evaluate everything at the close of the season.

9th worst Defense statistically last year'. Martin and Oliver were healthy!

Why bring Nardo here and not recruit and run his 3-3-5? That's kind of strange.

No one wants to come play for a guy from a no name school. Name recognition goes a long way for young people. They know they'll be coached by the best if they go to certain places. Why trust your future to a guy you've never heard of from a school you've never heard of? It was bad last year and this year certainly isn't helping. You count on guys to progress and not get hurt. Daniels for example looks completely lost and very slow. Then add in injuries not good.
