(This is the third in a series of stories projecting what the offseason activity and the roster building will be like following the end of the 2024 season later this month. Previous stories include quarterbacks and high school recruiting.  We are moving over to defense because I thought it would be better if we skipped around from offense-to-defense-to-special-teams.

We need much, much more talent and athleticism in the linebacker room. Guys like Gabe Brown and Jeff Roberson honestly probably won't cut it. Need to upgrade in the portal.

I agree we need at least two potential starters from the portal. What we are playing now are not good enough and we don't have time to develop young talent.

If Colin Oliver stays in college one more year- do you think he's in a Cowboy uniform next season, or will he go into the portal? No one knows for certain obviously, but what's your bet?
