STILLWATER – Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II has officially declared for the NFL Draft.

As loyal and as true as players come, Gordon II spent three seasons in Stillwater and leaves highly decorated. This season he finished with 880-yards rushing and 4.6-yards-per-carry with 13 touchdowns on the ground. He caught 29 passes for 179-yards and a touchdown. While it was a disappointing season for the Cowboys and for Gordon II. There is no question of effort and desire as Gordon II was one of the true leaders on the team. He showed up big every practice and every game.

Gordon’s game at West Virginia included three fourth quarter touchdowns.

In his sophomore season, Gordon II became a true college superstar.  He was easily the nation’s best running back, winning the Doak Walker Award, unanimous All-America honors, the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year (coaches and AP), while also receiving more votes for the Heisman Trophy than any other running back to finish seventh overall in the voting.  He also was a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award and one of just three players to earn unanimous All-Big 12 honors.

Gordon finished with 1,732-yards to lead the nation in rushing yards, yards from scrimmage with 2,062, 100-yard games at nine, 150-yard games with five, and two 250-yard games. He was also second in rushing touchdowns (21), total touchdowns (22), rushing yards after contact (1,056 via PFF) and all-purpose yards (2,062).

The former “wildcat” quarterback out of Euless Trinity High School in the Fort Worth area, Gordon II did have an arrest of speeding and DUI between his sophomore and junior seasons. He did the best to make amends for that and was truly remorseful.

He is a big back with a physical running style and track speed when he gets into the open. He is a good pass protector and receiver. He should be a high draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in April.
