Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From 2025 Defensive Back Jotavion Pierce
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just added another piece to its 2025 recruiting class with defensive back out of Alabama, Jotavion Pierce.
Pierce checks in at 6-2, 185 pounds, and is out of Montgomery (AL) Catholic Prep in the 2025 class. He had committed to Tulane back in late June following an official visit but announced a decommitment on Dec. 4. He signed with the Pokes back on Signing Day on Dec. 4 and wanted to keep it quiet until the end of the Montgomery Catholic Prep’s playoff run.
The Knights completed a perfect 14-0 record, beating Moody, 17-14, in the Alabama 5A state championship game.
Pierce previously held offers from Auburn, Central Michigan, Florida, Kentucky, Liberty, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina and West Virginia among others.
The Cowboys extended an offer to Pierce back on Nov. 16, with him making an official visit to Stillwater the following week. He made his visit the same time as current signees Chase Pinkston from Jones CC, Carl Albert linebacker Carl’Veon Young and offensive guard Miguel Chavez.
This past season as a senior, Pierce posted some really solid defensive back numbers. He recorded 76 total tackles, nine pass break ups, eight interceptions and one forced fumble and recovery apiece. He also had 30 carries on the offensive side of the ball for 171 yards and six touchdowns.
The commitment of Pierce takes the Cowboys’ 2025 class up to 19, along with the nine transfers they’ve added out of the transfer portal. Pierce is the eighth defensive player in the ’25 signing class, and they’ve added four defensive players out of the portal.
