Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Temple Transfer Defensive Tackle Demerick Morris
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just landed its 14 commitment out of the transfer portal in Temple defensive tackle, Demerick Morris.
Morris marks the seventh addition on the defensive side of the ball for Grantham and Co. The Cowboys offered Morris back on December 13. He chose the Pokes over offers from Arkansas State, Ball State, Buffalo, Louisiana, Northwestern and Southern Miss.
Morris checks in at 6-3, 300 pounds and will have one year of eligibility remaining. He has spent his entire career with the Owls, recording two total tackles as a true freshman in just one game. He played in 11 games in 2021 and 12 in 2022, recording 20 total tackles, 10 of which were solo stops.
He also had three total tackles for loss and a half sack. He played in just two games in 2023, recording seven total tackles, before playing in 11 games in 2024, recording 13 total tackles, four of which were solo stops.
He finished his career with the Owls recorded 42 total tackles as an interior lineman, 17 of which were solo stops, four tackles for loss and one sack. He also had one pass break up and one forced fumble.
He started his career with the Owls wearing No. 99, before being awarded a single-digit number, No. 9, his final year, “a Temple tradition given to those who lead by example on and off the field.”
