STILLWATER – You had to figure that Oklahoma State had the inside track on NCAA Transfer Portal offensive tackle prospect Shiyazh Pete. The 6-8, 320 pound starter for New Mexico State had a three-way connection to Oklahoma State. The Cowboys new offensive line coach and Cowboys offensive line alumni Andrew Mitchell had coached him for the Aggies at NMSU.

So, what are our chances now with Michigan and USC on the table? They have significant NIL budgets. In pro sports you get the players that you pay for.

It's just like the accounting spread sheet! How much has already been spent and how much is left! Some schools may spend more than half to three quarters of that significant budget on 8 to 10 players! Hell Virginia supposedly gave Chandler Morris $1.7 million with $200,000 up front as a signing bonus!
