Portal Visitors Crank Up Again Starting With Hauss Hejny, Good Time To Add More

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is standing at 18 so far through the transfer portal but as the dead period for Christmas and New Year’s Day ends it is time to crank up official visits again. It will start with the quarterback commitment that came for the Pokes right after the transfer portal window closed for entry. Former TCU freshman quarterback and Oklahoma State recruiting prospect out of Aledo High School Hauss Hejny pledged to the Pokes and now makes his visit.

There's a YouTube video that's OSU football discussion saying Gundy has only a one year contract and opportunity to turn OSU's fortunes back around. That would seemingly make recruiting tough if true. Anyone know if it's really just a one year contract now? I never read that.

Which YouTube Genius put that out? Do you think his legal representation would have allowed that? They would have advised him to reject everything and force the buyout of his existing contract which would have been probably in the $ 20 million range after all was said and done! Money OSU doesn't have right now after they just paid off a basketball coach!!!

My understanding is he has 4 years left on a 5 year contract. The automatic rollover was eliminated and his salary was reduced by $1MM/yr, to be redirected to the NIL budget.

I believe a little of both is true. Gundy has a longer contract than a year, but a much shorter leash. He had better be in contention for the conference title game late in the year or he will no longer be the head coach after next year (he will just be paid his now much lower buyout).

Not a good look when a BOR Chairman tries to bully and humiliate the President and Athletic Director who were trying to get these things resolved QUIETLY, It cost the program the first choice of new offensive coordinator after old staff was fired! But not to derail this thread and out of respect to Zach and Robert this is the last I will say about this!

BS. Nonsense. Idiocy. Ignorant.

A 7 or 8 win season easily keeps coach Gundy in firm control of the program... I'd say a 6-6 season plus a bowl game is more than enough too.

These whacked out idiotic claims must stop. Come on folks, get your act together.

Its really tough to make CCG with a squad so new at almost all positions except few. 8 wins should be line, even that will be difficult. Win 8, I am 100% sure Gundy will be here for next year too. Main thing is, Gundy has to show that the team is heading in good direction with respect to players growth and recruiting.
