Big 12 Media Days Back at 'The Star' in Frisco for Summer 2025

We’re barely out of the 2024-25 college football season and the Big 12 Conference is already looking towards the new season this fall. On Wednesday morning, the conference announced that football Media Days will be back at ‘The Star’ in Frisco, TX, July 8-9.

"Texas is the backyard of the Big 12 Conference, and we are looking forward to having our Football Media Days here again," said Big 12 Chief Football & Competition Officer Scott Draper. "We are grateful for the partnership and continued support from the Dallas Cowboys, and we're thrilled to host our Media Days at a world-class facility like The Star."

Football Media Days was held in Las Vegas this past summer due to scheduling conflicts with AT&T Stadium and the City of Dallas.

The event had previously been held at ‘The Star’ prior to the 2017 and 2018 seasons. ‘The Star’ is the practice and training facility for the Dallas Cowboys, with the Big 12 usually holding football Media Days at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Cowboys.

Brett McMurphy is reporting the Big 12 is planning on alternating football Media Days every year, with one year being in Dallas, then the next outside of the area.

So, time to start getting excited Cowboy fans because Spring Football will be here before you know it, which will be followed by Media Days down in Frisco, then the season. Eight months will fly by.

Yeah it's a fun few days. Definitely a lot of work going on, but the evening's are fun with some good food.

Work? I was thinking vacation for me.

Glad to hear that you enjoy the off time as much as covering the event.

Hahaha I figured. But yeah, it certainly makes for a fun time. Texas Live! is a lot of fun on summer nights and there's always plenty to do in the big D.
