Oklahoma State Locked In on Transfer Portal Offensive Tackle George Silva
STILLWATER – Transfer portal news typically doesn’t erupt much this time of year. Division I FBS schools are in a dead period for recruiting, so no coaches on the road and no prospects visiting. However, with the portal, players who can show they will be graduating at the end of the spring semester can enter the transfer portal and start seeing who is interested.
Oregon senior offensive tackle George Silva is in the portal.

The 6-7, 320-pound Silva is a former four-star junior college prospect that has been at Oregon for two seasons after being a universal top 50 junior college prospect that was actually considered the top offensive tackle in junior college by one internet recruiting service.
Our sources informed Pokes Report that Silva was set to stay at Oregon and have a solid chance to start in his final season with the Ducks. Last season he backed up Josh Conerly Jr. (6-4, 315) at left tackle and played in seven games. Silva played against Oregon State, UCLA, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois, Maryland, and Washington. Conerly was expected to go to the NFL early as a junior but decided to take the money Oregon was offering and stay for the 2025 season.
His first season in Eugene, Silva appeared in seven games with 51 snaps on offense at left tackle, and 16 on special teams. He was part of an Oregon offensive line group that led the nation with just five total sacks allowed and earned an 86.2 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus on the season, allowing zero pressures in 15 pass-blocking opportunities. In junior college, he helped Fullerton College to a 10-2 record, a conference championship, and a berth in the Southern California Football Association J.C. Championship Game.

He is a native of Torrance, Calf. and played at LaHabra High School where he helped them to a 10-3 record and CIF Southern Section Division 3 semifinal appearance.
He is a strong prospect and Oklahoma State was looking for an offensive tackle at the end of the December portal cycle missing out on New Mexico State tackle Shiyazh Pete.
Silva is a major step up and would be a strong addition. Silva would need to finish up and get his degree from Oregon and then be eligible to report to a new school immediately following.
