STILLWATER – Pokes Report introduced you to new Cowboy outside linebacker and edge player Chandavian Bradley when the Cowboys started recruiting him out of Hutchinson Community College up in the Jayhawk League. Now, OSU Max and OSU Director of Football Business and former Cowboy and NFL linebacker Kenyatta Wright have sat down with Bradley and bring you a visual interview introduction of the new Cowboy.

The 6-4, 245-pound Bradley had been a five-star and then a four-star high school recruit that signed with Tennessee out of Platte County High School in the Kansas City area on the Missouri side. He came to Hutch and helped the Blue Dragons to an NJCAA National Championship with a 28-23 win over Iowa Western.

Bradley is a sharp young man, well-spoken, and now, more aware of what he needs to do to succeed in college and in college football. He learned lessons in his one-year at Tennessee.

I’ve learned my lesson from that. I’ve stayed away from a lot of the things I was doing at Tennessee,” Bradley confessed. “I’m doing that so that I can get to where I want to go here. Going down to that juco level was a real … Nobody understands how hard this is at any level, but I think at the juco level it was a lot harder, a lot harder mentally. It drains you mentally. You put your head down and work and now I’m a Cowboy.”

I’m sure, knowing what I know that going from Tennessee and the perks and privileges there down to junior college, even a well run and well supported program like the one at Hutch is a long road down the ladder.

Bradley comes from a hard working family. His father is in charge of parking facilities at the Kansas City International Airport (KCI) and his mother has a daycare operation. He is the youngest in the family. He is also more than a football player and student athlete, always has been.

“In high school, people would call me the Renaissance Man because there was a bunch of stuff that I did in high school. There was a lot of stuff that I did in high school.”

He still does. Bradley can play the piano and sing. He is also been known to write and record his own music. He’s looking to do more of that. Before that, Wright encouraged Bradley to get his football going. I’ve been told by staff that he is a hard worker in the weight room and also attentive and doing a good job learning the defensive playbook in the offseason walk thrus.

“I’m a 20-year-old sophomore that still has all four-years of eligiblity because of the new juco (junior college not counting) rule,” Bradley started. “On a real level, I’m a man that knows how to do a lot of things. It’s not just football with me, it’s never been just football with me. I’ve had a lot of experience with a lot of music. I’ve had experience with a lot of media. My major is sports media and I want to be on TV. I need to know the things I need about the sports I play and I watch. I grew up playing basketball, football, and running track. I am not just an athlete, I am a human as well and I want people to know that.”

He’ll get help on the television side as Dave Hunziker, John Holcomb, and myself can help along with the Oklahoma State faculty in strategic communications. Coach Todd Grantham and his staff will bend over backwards to help with the football.

You can again see more of Bradley and his interview on OSU Max.
