Berryhill Off. Tackle Aiden Martin Makes Unofficial, Gets Offer, Saturday Will Be Busy

STILLWATER – You can see on social media that Berryhill (Okla.) offensive tackle Aiden Martin was on campus on Thursday (March 6) and received an offer from Oklahoma State. Martin has been on the radar a long time and was even a multi visit prospect last spring, summer, and fall. He was on an unoffcial at the Cowboys opening game in 2024, a win over defending FCS National Champion South Dakota State. He was back again to meet new offensive line coaches Andrew Mitchell and Cooper Bassett. He was already familiar with offensive line recruiter Zach Allen. You can see he took a picture with former Berryhill standout and like Oklahoma State offensive line starter Davis Dotson. Martin’s unofficial visit launches a cavalcade of unofficial visitors that will make their way to OSU on Saturday (March 8).

Martin text the picture with Dotson on his X account and reported that Oklahoma State offered him a scholarship on Thursday. The 6-5, 280 pound Martin is deserving. He plays both ways and as a result it is easy to see how he plays offensive tackle like he is on defense. He is very quick and athletic for a big man and that was spotlighted on his second play on his junior highlight video.

Martin is poised and moving to the play to make a tackle when the ball slips loose. he sees it, scoops and scores. Nobody was close, but a big part of that was his immediate recognition.

Besides Oklahoma State, Martin has offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Illinois State, Maryland, Memphis, Purdue, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Washington State, and others.

The offensive line coaches Mitchell and Bassett along with Allen will be busy on Saturday. Incoming freshmen Jaylan Beckley (Trinity Christian-Addison, Texas), Ryker Haff (Owasso, Okla.), and Miguel Chavez (Muskogee) will all be in to meet the new offensive line coaches in person.

Hugh Smith at OSU Down and Dirty Camp.

There will be four offensive line prospects in on Saturday with Hugh Smith (6-5, 300) from Missouri City (Ridge Point), Texas; Keegan Collins (6-6, 277) from Amarillo (West Plains), Texas; Kaden Scherer (6-6, 275) from Georgetown, Texas; and Eli Holbrook (6-4, 290) from Arlington, Texas.

Holbrook is from Arlington High School, the alma mater of current Oklahoma State offensive coordinator and former Cowboy offensive lineman Doug Meacham. That’s interesting. All four of those offensive line visitors are All-Staters or All-State caliber players.

Holbrook is also a smart player and student. he holds down a 3.2 GPA, but all of the prospects listed were abover 3.2 and Schere is a 4.8 honors student. It’s an excellent group of linemen coming in.

There are others coming in as well, plenty of in-state prospects and almost all of them are already offered in the 2026 class. The list includes Choctaw safety Da’Jon Green, Edmond Santa Fe safety Trey Sherrod, safety Daijon Gaines of Tulsa Union, and Braeden Presley of Bixby.

Presley’s linebacker teammate Trey McGlothlin will be there along with one of my very favorite prospects in Del City linebacker Ricklan Holmes II. Owasso defensive end Tahj Overton will be on hand as will Stillwater’s Nehemiah Kolone, and Santa Fe defensive end Landen Anderson.

Coming from Texas will be Austin (Lake Travis) defensive lineman Ben Duncum, Lindale defensive lineman Kaleb “Bug” Walker, Tucker Ashford from Fort Worth Christian School, and Chris Knauls Jr. from Frisco Lone Star High School.

Finally, one of the top defensive line prospects in the Midwest in Landon Bland from Carthage, Missouri will also be on campus for a big Saturday of unofficial visits.

Of the unofficial visitors, most already have offers and those that don’t are close to getting an offer from Oklahoma State.

Saturday will be a full day of recruiting activity around the West End Zone with all coaches and most of the support staff on deck.
