PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Oklahoma State wrestlers Troy Spratley (125 pounds), Dean Hamiti Jr. (174 pounds) and Wyatt Hendrickson (heavyweight) punched their tickets to the finals of the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships Friday night and the Cowboys sit in third place with 91 points to mark their most through four sessions since 2013.

The three finalists also mark the most for the Cowboys since 2014 and the six All-Americans are the most since 2021.

OSU is 10.5 points behind second-place Nebraska, while first-place Penn State has 135.5 points. The rest of the field is 17.5 points behind the Cowboys. The Cowboys' three finalists are tied with Penn State, Nebraska and Iowa for the most in the tournament and no other team has more than one.

Spratley was the first to earn his spot in the finals as he upset No. 3 Eddie Ventresca of Virginia Tech, 6-4 in sudden victory to earn his first career spot in a finals match. Hamiti was next with another dramatic win, taking down Penn State's 2024 national champion Levi Haines, 4-2. Hendrickson was next and took down another Nittany Lion NCAA champion as he defeated No. 3 Greg Kerkvliet, 8-2.

“It was a good day. This is a tough tournament, it really is a tough tournament,” Oklahoma State head coach David Taylor said after the semifinal round where he had celebrated with the three finalists and held the heads of some of the beat-up consolation wrestlers. “From yesterday to today you have these highs and these lows.”

“I think DJ (Hamiti) can win a lot of ways,” Taylor added about Hamiti’s win. Although that was the only takedown, there were a lot of exchanges after that.”

Plott fought hard to make OSU four-for-four in semifinal matches but fell to four-time national champion and No. 1-seeded Carter Starocci of Penn State, 9-3.

Caleb Fish (157 pounds) and Cameron Amine (165 pounds) also secured All-America honors, each winning in sudden victory in the blood round before falling in their next matches to reach Saturday's seventh-place matches. It marks the first time Fish has earned All-America honors and the fourth time for Cameron Amine.

OSU now has 492 All-Americans in its wrestling history, far more than any other program.

The 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships continue through March 22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, with the fifth session scheduled to begin Saturday at 10 a.m. CT on ESPNU.
