Plus One: In-State Safety Carter Langenderfer of Owasso Pledges Pokes
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has added another commitment to the 2026 recruiting class in Owasso, Okla. safety, Carter Langenderfer. The 6-2, 190 pound football and track standout for the Rams becomes the sixth commitment in this class and he is the fourth pledge in-state and all four of those are from the “Green Country” area.

Langenderfer was part of the nine prospect official visit weekend (April 4-6) on campus. He had been on campus at Oklahoma State three times in recent weeks making unofficial visits on March 4, April 1, and then with his family over the official visit weekend. He gives the Cowboys and head coach Mike Gundy and his staff commitments from Jenks (running back Kayden K.D. Jones), Bixby (linebacker Trey McGlothlin), Berryhill (offensive tackle Aiden Martin), and now Owasso. Those four teams combined for a 37-12 this past season and all four high schools made the state playoffs. Owasso and Bixby played for the Oklahoma Class 6A-I State Championship.

Built like a safety, Langenderfer can also play some corner at a really advantageous size. He is very athletic and runs well. Last fall he had 66 tackles, 29 unassisted and four tackles-for-loss. He had an interception, and 10 passes defended. His sophomore season, he had over 50 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, 12 passes defended, and an interception.
In track, he has high jumped 5’10” and he has thrown the discus 128’6”. In football with analytics, he has clocked over 20 miles per hour (20.8) in practices and games.
An excellent student, Langenderfer has offers from besides Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Army, Dartmouth, Air Force, Yale, Tulsa, and Towson State.
