Oklahoma State's Roster to Look Almost Entirely Different In 2025
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men’s basketball will have virtually an entirely new roster heading into the 2025-26 season as Robert Jennings II is the only returning player still on the roster. And it looks to remain that way as April 22 is the final day the transfer portal is open.
Pokes Report learned earlier on Tuesday freshman big man, Andrija Vukovic, has left the program and has gone back home to Serbia.
The soon-to-be junior duo of Connor Dow and Jamyron Keller, seniors Khalil Brantley, Arturo Dean, Mikey Kelvin II and Patrick Suemnick all entered the transfer portal, while Marchelus Avery, Bryce Thompson, Davonte Davis, Brandon Newman and Abou Ousmane all exhausted their eligibility.
We’re unclear if whether or not Vukovic entered the transfer portal before leaving to go back home, but with his departure, that gives Steve Lutz and Co. nine scholarship players up to this point in the recruiting cycle.
Here’s the classification breakdown:
Freshman | RS-Fr. | Sophomore | RS-So. | Junior | RS-Jr. | Senior | RS-Sr. | Graduate |
Ben Ahmed (C) | Vyctorius Miller (G) | Isaiah Coleman (G) | Kanye Clary (G) | Parsa Fallah (F) | Anthony Roy (G)
Ryan Crotty (G) | Robert Jennings II (F)
Mekhi Ragland (C) |
While both Ahmed and Ragland are centers, Lutz and Co. will need to get an experienced big man out of the transfer portal for help bring both freshmen along, as well as to help with the physicality of the Big 12.
It would also be beneficial to bring in at least one more point guard and another forward and wing to help with length, scoring and rebounding down low. But it will be interesting to see how they fill the remaining open spots.
As of right now, April 22, there are four open scholarship spots to fill. However, there will be 15 scholarship spots if/when the House vs. NCAA is settled. So, it’s safe to assume Lutz and Co. are looking at filling six spots, rather than four because it’s believed the settlement will pass.
But it’s also good practice right now to assume they wouldn’t play all 15 players in the upcoming season, meaning it’s certainly possible they might not sign 15 players. I asked coach Lutz towards the end of the Pokes’ run in the NIT how he thought they would approach the portal in terms of numbers and he said they would have enough to fill the roster.
