STILLWATER — Three consecutive two-run innings lifted the No. 23 Oklahoma State softball team to a 6-1 victory over North Texas at Cowgirl Stadium Wednesday.

The Cowgirls improved to 30-17 overall with the win, North Texas dropped to 34-17.

OSU opened the scoring in the fourth inning, when Tia Warsop recorded an RBI single with the bases loaded. Warsop now has 11 RBIs this season. The second run came as Claire Timm crossed home plate off Megan Bloodworth's groundout.

The Mean Green responded in the top of the fifth with an Elizabeth Moffitt RBI single, but Amanda Hasler led off the bottom half of the inning with her team-best 14th home run of the season, an opposite field blast to right. Timm singled home Karli Godwin two batters later to extend OSU's advantage to 4-1.

Godwin struck again in the sixth inning with an RBI double, then Timm followed with a sacrifice fly to cap the scoring.
