STILLWATER – OK, here they are as Bet MGM came out this week and FanDuel may have beat them by a few hours. DraftKings and Bally’s have come out as well. The college football over and under totals have been released. This is always a popular prop bet for college football fans and a popular talking point for sports talk radio shows in college towns, like the one that I host on Triple Play Sports Radio in Stillwater.

Let's get a split out of Kansas State & Iowa State, then win a bowl game for another 10-win season!

interesting.

Question: Has there ever been a season in the B12 where at least 1 team was not picked to win at least 10 games? Ever?

8-4 will be very respectable after last year's debacle.

true that

have we ever brought in this many new players, especially both lines, unproven QB, unproven RB.... and all new coaches?

I have no idea what to expect.

If we can stay within 30 of Oregon on the road in the 2nd game, I'll be impressed

If I were to pick my #1 disagreement with RA's list.....it would be CU. I'll be amazed if Prime doesn't get at least 7 wins out of this next team.

And I hope RA is too conservative on our Cowboys.....(assuming we can still call them "our Cowboys")......but who knows! I wouldn't be shocked with 4 wins or 10 wins!

It should be apparent to every Cowboy fan that we defy expectations.
One way or the other -- we defy them.

If we get picked to win the Big 12, that's usually an indicator that things will go wrong somewhere, somehow and we'll fall short of the predictions.

I think the national media knows this more than anyone. Everytime one of their bigtime prognosticators gets drunk or high on mushrooms, they'll pick a great year for Oklahoma State.
Then after a huge embarassment, they'll swear off ever giving OSU an ounce of respect in their polls or articles.
And quite honestly, we have deserved that lack of high respect.

Then, we'll turn things around and scrape something together to make the year look better, but we'll always have that one stinker of a game that keeps us just outside the line of post-season consideration.

YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, COWBOY FANS!

Last year needs little more reference than it's getting right here.
2011 was the year we held all of the cards and allowed an ISU team to come back and beat us. AND IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH A PLANE CRASH! That only affected our fans that had to look for the worst excuse possible -- something that had to explain another Poke Choke.
That was our year to win the NC (insert Uncle Rico GIF here), but the voters squeezed us out for an SEC matchup.

It's best that we just remain awful in the minds of the national (even state) pundits. It doesn't take much to get a negative Berry Tramel article or 20 going in whatever rag he's hacking in now. And Jenni Carlson is selling Hundai's somewhere near Idable or something. Who cares.

We, OSU fans, will still be here, glossing over the holes and rust with shiny, happy people dust and ready to, once again, put our best fans in the land butts into some of those shiny, new BPS seats and cheer on our Cowboys like they still have a shot at this year's NC (if things go well).

But we won't win any non-Cowboy acclaim until we snag saints Peter, Paul and John in the Transfer portal.
I know there are rules, but do we really want to follow them now?
