Oklahoma State Lands Virginia Tech Transfer Jayden Jones
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball and Kenny Gajewski landed their first commitment out of the transfer portal less than week after the end of the season with Virginia Tech utility player, Jayden Jones.
Jones was in Stillwater this week on an official visit.
Jones was a true freshman this past season and had limited action across 26 of the Hokies’ 56 games. She finished the season with a .250 batting average with 12 RBIs, seven strikeouts and 11 walks. She also had four RBIs.
She also finished the season with a 0.929 fielding percentage with just two errors across 26 games as an outfielder.
Jones is originally out of Gaylord, MI, and was a top 100 prospect out of high school, projected to play either second base or the outfield for the Hokies. She joins her younger sister, Aubrey Jones, who committed to the Cowgirls last October.
She marks the first commitment out of the transfer portal this offseason for Gajewski and Co.
