Oklahoma State Gets More Good News on the D-Line with Landen Anderson Commitment

Anderson could be a defensive end or a defensive tackle. It could all depend on the weight room in the West End Zone.

STILLWATER – Another piece of good news for Oklahoma State and especially for the defensive side of the football as Edmond Santa Fe defensive lineman Landen Anderson has committed to head coach Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State.

The 6-4, 280-pound Anderson has been so versatile for Santa Fe and head coach Kyle White and defensive coordinator Chris Rose. Besides being able to play up and down the Wolves defensive line, Anderson has also played tight end and caught some big passes. In Stillwater, he will just have to worry about knocking passes down and knocking down the passer.

Check out Landen Anderson in action right here.

Anderson received honors for his 2024 season with the Wolves, recording 83 total tackles, 59 of which were solo stops, with 11 tackles for loss. He also had 11 quarterback hurries, one sack, one pass break up and one blocked field goal.

He committed to Kansas back in January and then decommitted following his June 13 visit to Oklahoma State. He finished his official visits with a trip to Baylor on June 20 and then notified Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy early the next week that he was going to pledge to the Cowboys.

Anderson took an official visit to Arizona State on May 30, followed by his official visit to Kansas, so he seemed to be still looking late in the spring and summer.

He also had offers from Iowa State, Maryland and UNLV.

Between Anderson and the other commitments for Oklahoma State on the defensive line, this is probably the best defensive line class in Mike Gundy’s tenure at OSU. It is huge for the recruiting and coaching staffs as they have recruited at a high level (Anderson is a high three-star in evaluation) despite coming off a rough season. Gundy has proven especially in Oklahoma and to in-state prospects that he will win consistently.

Enough NIL money (whenever available) can buy a 4-5 star defensive line. NIL money will decide championships going forward.
