(IMHO) Gundy waited several years longer than he should have waited to "reinvent himself" even though OSU was in the conference championship the year before last year's sheet show. The offense had stagnated and was predictable. Then the "Nardo Defense Experiment" when things tanked completely. I know the defense changed part way during the season but that was the worst in 60 years. Many discussions on PR happened due to this noticeable downhill slide. I took some real heat for writing he needed to be brought in and asked how he planned to fix it. I am still traumatized by the heat (ha!). Gundy is fortunate the BOR did not have a big $$$ backer/$$$ on hand or this season would have had a new HC. I am excited about this "reinvented" OSU football team, the coaches, and recruiting. I am looking forward to continuing the "Gundy Golden Age" of OSU football during this volatile time. GO POKES!!!

STILLWATER – We needed to rank the coaches, everybody is doing it. I choose to wait until after being in Frisco, Texas at the Big 12 Football Media Days. I was able to be face-to-face with nine of the 16 head coaches and I heard the others at either the podium or in a break out session.
I know that the “homer” tag is going to be used on my top pick, but I’m sorry, the numbers put Mike Gundy there, but not with a bullet.
